The Little Boy From Manly. Low, David Alexander Cecil [1891-1963] original artwork for 3 illustrations, c1916-17, featuring the 'Little Boy' as the central character in a series of advertisments for Meggitt's Linseed Oil. 'Little Boy' was used to promote the firm's role in fostering Australia's security and prosperity across the agricultural, manufacturing, technical trades, livestock and defence sectors, especially during the first half of the twentieth century. Low's use of 'Little Boy' on industrial products is the rarer, and hence less well-known, of his drawing genre. (3 items). 49 x 34.5 cm, 41 x 33 cm and 44.5 x 35 cm.
