Peter John Simpson (UK b.1943) 'Carcassonne II', this monumental piece from Simpson's Carcassonne Suite, c.1989/90 was entered in the Fletcher Challenge Ceramics Awards exhibition c.1990. It has the maker's stamp at the base and appears to be dated. Note: At the show it was priced at more than $10,000.
