British Royal Engineer officers' sword with scabbard of 19th century date. Etched blade with maker's particulars, Norton of London. Pierced gilt brass hilt and guard with gilt brass mounted leather scabbard. The hilt with custom locking mechanism to retain the sword in the scabbard.
