A rare Rene Lalique Bacchantes vase, designed 1927, the cylindrical body moulded with a continuous scene depicting dancing maidens, in frosted and clear amber glass, wheel-cut R. Lalique France, 24.5 cm high. Provenance: Decorative Arts, Furniture, Silver and Jewellery, Christie's Australia, Melbourne, 25 March 1996, lot 23, illustrated, Mr Hans Mueller and Mrs Gertrud Mueller, Sydney, acquired from the above.
