A Vaccaro X-Ray custom colour electric guitar, American made, serial number A1196/B1, customer colour 'splatter' finish, ebony fretboard with ornamental Pearloid 'diamond' inlays, split aluminium headstock, string through body construction, six machine heads, one single coil pickup at neck position, one humbucker at bridge position, three-way switch, coil tapping to humbucker, black Tolex hard case, acquired on 10 January 2003, This is a rare one-off by Henry Vaccaro Jnr, the son of the Kramer Guitars founder.'   • Ebony - Ebony is a close grained timber, black in colour. It has a fine texture which can be polished to a high gloss, making it suitable for venereering, inlay and stringing and its use as solid timber is resticted to small decorative items and ornamental decoration, such as chess pieces and musical instrument parts. The term "ebonised" means "faux ebony", timber that has been darkened during the polishing process to resemble ebony.
