An antique Chinese carved timber and marble pot stand, Qing Dynasty, late 19th to early 20th century, the hexagonal top inset with plum coloured marble, with six supporting legs to slightly splayed feet supported by a spoke style stretchers, profusely caved and pierced throughout with prunus blossom motifs and double happiness characters. Height 63 cm

The Ming Dynasty is known for its cultural achievements, including the development of porcelain, the invention of movable type printing, and the construction of the Great Wall of China.
