A hollow wood marine ply construction, surf longboard c.1950's. Maker unknown. The surfboard is painted white onto a hollow plywood construction, with curved shape underneath and assembled with bronze nails onto a wooden internal frame. The tip of the board has nickel-chrome screw mount drain plug. Length 320 cm. Width 45 cm

    It is very fluid in a molten state, and its hardness, strength when set, and non-corrosive properties makes it most suitable for casting sculpture.
