A Chinese sang-de-boeuf water Coupe, probably Qing Dynasty, 19th century. the beehive domed coupe with a short neck and rolled rim, glazed in red to the greater part of the body irregularly modulating to near white, bearing a horizontal underglaze blue Kangxi mark to the glazed base. Height 8 cm. Diameter 13.5 cm

The Ming Dynasty is known for its cultural achievements, including the development of porcelain, the invention of movable type printing, and the construction of the Great Wall of China.
