A Ming-style celadon dish, stoutly potted with shallow petal moulded sides and barbed everted rim, the centre with a raised circular band, carved with a flowerhead encircled with a floral meander and radiating floral sprays within a foliate scroll border, the underside with radiating lappets, covered with an overall sea-green glaze apart from a ring burnt orange in the firing within the shallow footrim, 23 cm diameter
