A Chinese Elmwood clothes rack, with a central Openwork panel of Stylized dragons & Phoenix, Qing Dynasty, 18th/19th century, the rectangular mitred frame is supported by uprights with three cross bars & a lattice platform near the base, the upturned terminals ending in dragon heads. Provenance: Imperial Peking collection. Height 180 cm. Length 210 cm

The Ming Dynasty is known for its cultural achievements, including the development of porcelain, the invention of movable type printing, and the construction of the Great Wall of China.
