The S.S. Riverina: Two ornate revolving timber ships chairs on cast iron bases. The S.S. Riverina constructed in 1905 was a steam driven passenger/cargo ship owned by Huddart, Parker & Co. On the 17th of April 1927 whilst steaming north from Hobart to Sydney she ran aground off the west coast of Gabo Island near the Victorian N.S.W. border with 142 passengers on board. The Goulburn came to her aid and over the next three days the passengers where landed safely at Malacoota. The cargo of over 19,000 crates of apples was lost, however some cargo was selvaged before the ship was deemed a complete loss,

    The Victorian period was preceded by the Regency and William IV periods, and followed by the Edwardian period, named for Edward VII (1841 ? 1910) who was King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions and Emperor of India for the brief period from 1901 until his death in 1910.
