A signed Satsuma vase, early 20th century, the ovoid vase with a wide waisted neck, having an applied trailing moriage enamel dragon and decorated throughout with myriad figures engaged in narratives in a landscape setting, in red brown colours with green and gilt highlights, with shimazu family crest and bordered cartouche underside. Height 31 cm.
