A red Kutani ware vase, probably Showa period, mid 20th century. Of ovoid form with a small circular foot and a conforming waisted neck, decorated with metallic pewter coloured bamboo stems and foliage upon an iron red ground; with painted Japanese characters underside. Height 17 cm.
