A pair of Chinese cloisonne-enamel parrots, Qing Dynasty, Qianlong-Jiaqing period, 18th/19th century, each cast with head slightly turned to the side, the light green body and white breast with gilt cloisons defining the plumage, the wings and tail colourfully enameled with white, red, yellow, dark green, light purple and dark purple with the beak and claw in gilt. 15 cm high.   • Qing Dynasty - The Qing Dynasty was the last imperial dynasty of China, ruling from 1644 to 1912. It was established by the Manchu people, who originated from the northeastern region of China. The Qing Dynasty was preceded by the Ming Dynasty and followed by the Republic of China.
