A miniature Swiss French music box, 19th century, Reuge mechanism, with a Swiss mechanism in a French gilt bronze box, with cast decoration to the sides and profuse scroll work to the cover with applied jewels and a central enamel and foiled medallion of a woman in a plumed hat.     It is very fluid in a molten state, and its hardness, strength when set, and non-corrosive properties makes it most suitable for casting sculpture.
