An antique Japanese timber and iron chest, Meiji period, late 19th century, of travelling chest form with carry handles, having two shallow drawers, with a deeper drawer below flanked by a small drawer with a secret compartment to the rear, with iron work strapping to the edges, traditional locks and swing handles. Height 25.5 cm. Width 60.5 cm. Depth 34 cm
