World War II Period red ensign flag with numerous military personnel signatures. inscribed 'The Property of No.10991 Sgt./Pilot Wales A.W. Royal Australian Airforce Abroad'. Alexander William Wales was a Lancaster bomber pilot who flew with the 460 Squadron & completed his first operational tour of 22 flights in 1943 for which he was awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross & a Distinguished Flying Medal. He went on to complete a second tour of 22 flights, 14 of which where over Berlin. Framed (double sided). 100 x 61 cm
