An old Japanese bronze crane and turtle (Tsuru & Kane) candlestick, the crane standing on the back of the turtle symbolising youth and old age. Height 34.5 cm. Together with a bronzed white metal figure of a monkey, seated.

    It is very fluid in a molten state, and its hardness, strength when set, and non-corrosive properties makes it most suitable for casting sculpture.
