A rare New Zealand sterling silver presentation trowel, inscribed 'Presented to Geo. Winter Esq. On the occasion of his laying the Foundation stone of the County Council Chambers Takaka 30-10-28' (now the Tasman District Council service centre). Maker P.K.V. (unknown), presumably a silversmith from the district greenstone handle. Length 28 cm
