An impressive c.1940 taxidermy large Indian Bengal tiger's head, in the classic Van Ingen snarling pose, open mouth, compressed ridges to the nose area, with glass eyes, whiskers, mounted to include the front shoulder. Provenance: Purchased by our vendor's father c.1960, a Wanganui resident who conducted hunting tours to the South Island. attributed to Van Ingen and Van Ingen of Mysore. Height 53 cm, depth 51.5 cm
