A 19th century colonial 'James Hargreaves Ventilating Engineer, Auckland' church spire dove cote, the engineered tin top of tapered form with rolled rim above the cylindrical section with three arched openings for the dove, all on a wooden panel circular base with outstretched wooden dove landing platforms, all raised on a tapered octagonal wooden spire. Old white paint to all, showing some effects of age. Oval brass maker's plaque applied with maker's details and 'Improved Roof Extractor.... Auckland'. Height approx. 280 cm.
