Clarrie Grimmett, trophy 'To C.V.Grimmett, from the Cricketers of his Native city, 25-2-28'. Trophy base in greenstone, decorated with silver cricket pitch engraved 'Well Bowled', and with greenstone stumps (one broken). Still a very attractive and unusual cricket piece. [Clarrie Grimmett, born in Dunedin, NZ, played 37 Tests for Australia 1924-36]
