Unusual Chinese Canton enamel decorated beehive brush pot. Decorated with eight Buddhist emblems on a pale blue ground, exposed bronze rim and foot rim, with four character Yongxheng (1723-1735) reign mark in blue enamel to underside. Age uncertain but appears similar to one dated 1730. Illustrated in Howard's Amorial porcelain, Vol 2, p. 14. Comes with a new well carved wooden display stand. Condition good. Some scratches to base. Diameter 8.2 cm
