Violin: Made in the Russian style with label 'S.Kiaposse, St Petersburg, A.D.1748' most likely German manufactured in the second half of the 19th century. Beautifully selected timbers & finely crafted with no rib overhang resulting in very narrow pointed corners. Scroll carved in a rounded fashion, original slim chin rest & old case. Rare & interesting instrument with superb patina. VG condition
