A Doulton Lambeth Hannah Barlow stoneware vase, squat ovoid form, the body with a wide band of sgrafitto decoration featuring deer and pheasants within a landscape on a white slip framed by bands of fine repeating flowerhead beads and incised repeating scroll and leaf forms in dark brown and blue glaze. Incised artist's monogram and that of the assistant Arthur Beere or Alice Budden. Impressed marks and date 1887. Height 167. Note: included in the N.Z. Courier Post Doulton Exhibition 1992 - No.L3/45
