Taiaha, fully finely carved fighting staff, carved in dark brown wood, upoko and arero feature double rauponga spiral of p?kati and haehae, small chips, notched paua eyes [lacking one]. Eight further sets of eyes dispersed across the shaft some of the shell inlay missing. Various carved patterning throughout. Numbered 91939 in white ink below. Length 105 cm. Provenance: Estate of John Lawford.
