A carved wood figure of Guanyin, late Ming/Qing Dynasty, seated in lalitasana on a rockwork base, her right arm extended and resting on her raised right knee, wearing long loose robes falling in folds to her bare feet, and a trailing scarf draped over the shoulders, the face with a serene expression and pendulous ear lobes, with long hair drawn into a high chignon encircled with a pierced foliate tiara, traces of polychrome decoration, 148 cm high
