Each earring comprising a cluster of bezel-set vari-cut gemstones including diamonds, an emerald, ruby, pink sapphire and chrysoberyl, the diamonds together weighing approximately 0.42 carats, to shepherd hook fittings, length 22 mm, gross weight approximately 5.10 grams.

It is often used as a gemstone, with the cat's eye variety being particularly prized for its chatoyancy (a reflective effect that resembles the slit eye of a cat). Chrysoberyl is relatively hard and durable, making it suitable for use in jewellery.
