Collection of three hunting spears, Warburton Ranges, Western Australia. Carved hardwood and kangaroo sinew. Group of three hunting spears from the Western Desert. They are composite spears with the blade and wooden barbs bound to each other with kangaroo sinew and in turn bound to the shaft. They were used for hunting large game, length 262 cm to 284 cm. Provenance: Private Collection, Sydney
