A rare Jizhou brown painted ovoid vase, Southern Song/Yuan Dynasty, 12TH-14th century decorated in brown on a white slip with two hexalobed panels, each depicting a magpie on a branch of plum blossoms, under a clear glaze, 16 cm high. Provenance: an old private collection, Melbourne, Australia.
