A Louis Vuitton Damier Infini onyx Keepall. Size 50. Features black leather exterior embossed with Damier checkered pattern, with double leather top handles and an adjustable, removable shoulder strap. Double zip top opens to black canvas lined interior with zip and slip pockets. Approximately 50 x 24 cm. Handle drop 10 cm. Crafted for the Fall-Winter 2011 Men's show, this bag features satin finished titanium hardware and comes with an LV black leather luggage tag heat stamped with initials 'MB', and LV padlock with set of keys. - Onyx - Onyx is a form of agate, used from antiquity and popular again in the 1920s and 30s. European onyx is generally green, but can be many other colours, and can contain bands of black and/or white.
This multicoloured stone is widely used for table tops, lamp bases and in jewellery. Some types of onyx are also used for cameos of which the upper white layer is cut away to reveal the colour beneath. - Embossed / Repousse - Embossing, also known as repousse, is the technique of decorating metal with raised designs, by pressing or beating out the design from the reverse side of the object.It is the opposite of chasing, where the decoration is applied from the front. An embossed or repoussed object may have chasing applied to finish off the design.
