Frodsham, a brass cased marine deck watch gimbal mounted in a wooden deck box, late 19th century. Dial: Silvered, black Arabic numerals, black outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, blued steel spade hands. movement: Swiss gilt bar movement, detent escapement. Case: Brushed brass gimbal mounted in a two-tier wooden deck box, brass handles to either side. Dimensions: dial diameter approximately 70 mm, wooden deck box approximately 175 x 190 x 174 mm, with paper label to interior inscribed J.R. Cameron, Chronometer & Watch Maker, 54 Castle Street, Liverpool, plaque to lid inscribed Charles Shepherd Maker to the Royal Navy, 53 Leadenhall Street London, worn label to interior.
