Seven lithographs, 1840: from 'The new tale of a tub: an adventure in verse' by F.W.N. Bayley, with illustrations designed by Lieutenant J.S. Cotton, lithographed by Aubry. The charming plates which illustrate the story of two gentlemen enjoying their picnic until their eating and drinking are interrupted by the arrival of a Bengal tiger. Each plate approx. 16.5 x 26 cm, with title in lower margin and 'London, Decr 8, 1840, Published by Colnaghi & Puckle, 23, Cockspur Street.' (7 items).
