[Tribal warfare van Dieman's Land], view taken in the interior of New Holland, near the torrent of Kirkham, Jaques Arago engraving from his 1818 sketch made during Louis Freycinet's visit to eastern Tasmania aboard 'L'Uranie'. The engraving was prepared in 1823 for inclusion in Freycinet's publication 'Voyage autour du monde sur les corvettes ''l'Uranie' et 'La Physicienne., framed and glazed, overall 27 x 30 cm.
