A brass altar cross, the conical moulded base with presentation inscription: to the glory of God, in loving Memory of, Hector Roy Bellchambers, B.Compy, 52ND Btn, 13th Bgde, 4th Dvn, A.I.F, Who Died of Wounds July 7TH, 1916, serving his country, rising to a spiral twist knopped shaft supporting the cross with agate cabochon embellishments, height 77 cm, width 27 cm. Other Notes: private Hector Roy Bellchambers was from Chudleigh, Tasmania and was killed in France. His remains were returned to his place of birth where he is buried.
