A Phillipino Santos figure of St Roche, 19th century, the polychrome carved wooden figure with wire armature, on a square plinth. 65 cm high, 22 cm wide. Provenance: John Graham, Melbourne. Other Notes: San Roque or St Roche de Montepellier c. 1348 - 1376 was a Catholic saint. He is a patron saint of dogs, invalids and the falsely accused. He is specially invoked against the plague
