A Chinese white jade inlaid sceptre, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century, the white jade plaques each carved with scenes of scholars and attendants in rocky landscapes, set into a hardwood sceptre. Together with the original invoice dated 1981. 11 cm high, 54 cm long. Provenance: purchased from 'The jade Gallery', Melbourne, 1981, by a relative of the vendor.

- Qing Dynasty - The Qing Dynasty was the last imperial dynasty of China, ruling from 1644 to 1912. It was established by the Manchu people, who originated from the northeastern region of China. The Qing Dynasty was preceded by the Ming Dynasty and followed by the Republic of China.
