Pair of platinum, South Sea pearl and diamond 'Ribbon' earrings, Paspaley each claw-set brilliant-cut diamond surmount supporting a trace link chain accented at intervals by similarly set diamonds and terminating in an 11 mm cultured round pearl drop, the diamonds together stated to weigh 0.56 carat, length approximately 53 mm, maker's mark P for Paspaley, post fittings. Accompanied by a Paspaley certificate of authenticity numbered K08E09PPR11 and a Paspaley pouch.

    In the gold industry, the purity of gold is measured in carats (abbreviated "ct"), with 24 karats being pure gold and lower carat numbers indicating a lower purity level. So, for example, 18 carat gold is 18/24 or 75% pure gold, and 12 carat gold is 12/24 or 50% pure gold.
