Killed at the Battle of the Somme by shell fire at Trones wood July 11th1916. Age 20. With box. II. A 1914 -1915 star awarded to second Lieutenant J Mc C Sproat. Livepool Regiment. III. A 1914 -1915 star awarded to second Lieutenant G M Sproat. Manchester Regiment.
