A Jane Brenkley Maori decorated circular lidded box, the lid carved with a wheku head flanked by manaia, the rim and sloping walls with other wheku masks Maori inspired designs. Signed and dated 1945 under the base. Raised on four short feet, diameter 29.5 cm.
