The Australian Cricket Team in South Africa 1935-36, Attractively framed display comprising an Official Programme for the Tour signed on the front by all 14 players including Victor Richardson (Captain), Stan McCabe (VC), Bill Brown, Jack Fingleton, Clarrie Grimmett and Bert Oldfield, mounted together with a team picture and a caption listing all the Australian participants. Overall 54 x 32 cm. The Australians played 16 matches, all of them first-class. They won 13 (10 of them by an innings) and drew the other three. Of their four victories in the five Tests, three were by an innings, the 2nd Test ending in a draw. The leg-spin bowlers Grimmett (44 wickets) and O'Reilly (27) took 71 wickets between them in the Tests, the other Australian bowlers together took 27 wickets. On the tour overall O'Reilly took 95 wickets at an average of 13.56 and Grimmett took 92 at 14.80.
