A large Japanese Seto studio porcelain vase, Meiji period (1868-1912), the rouleau form vase with assymetrical decoration of fan palms in underglaze blue to one side of the vase, with attractive use of negative space. 38.5 cm high, 18 cm diameter. Exhibited: 'The Japanese Aesthetic', ceramic and glass circle of Australia, 2006/2007. 'The golden Journey: Japanese Art from Australian Collections', Art Gallery of South Australia, 2009.
