An icon of St Nicholas the miracle worker, holding the book of the gospels, Russian, late 18th century, partially covered with repousse and chased oklad, tempera and heavily varnished on restored wood panel, depicting the saint 3/4 length painted in the more mannerist style influenced by the school of Simeon Ushakov, 31.5 x 27.5 cm.
