1892 Sheffield Shield Winner's fob in 15ct gold awarded to Jack Worrall, in the shape of the original Sheffield Shield, engraved on reverse 'The Sheffield Shield, Victoria, Holders 1892, Badge, Presented to J Worrall'. (1892-93 was the first year of the Sheffield Shield after Lord Sheffield donated £150 to fund a trophy for an annual tournament of intercolonial cricket in Australia. Jack Worrall captained Victoria to victory in all 4 matches of the first season; he played 11 Tests for Australia 1884-1899; he also played football for Fitzroy 1884-1893, and was the first football coach, initially with Carlton 1902-1909, and then Essendon 1911-20, winning 5 Premierships).
