An Arts & Crafts hammer finish copper cigarette box, c.1905, the lid with a cruciform strap work overlay centred by a foil enamel boss and with small rivet detail, the walls and feet with conforming details. attributed to Jesson, Birkett & Co., or A.E.Jones, typical of their designs, particularly work by Anne G. Stubbs. 20 cm x 14 cm x 6 cm. Provenance: The Estate of Emeritus Professor Brian Coote CBE, FRSNZ (1929 - 2019)
