A collection of 19th century Magic lantern photographic glass slides most stamped G.W.W (George Washington Wilson), includes 'Nansen's Farthest North' colour slides, World War I military, views of Fiji, Honolulu, & New Zealand. Topographical views of South Africa, Scotland, England, Europe & America including views of San Francisco before and after the earthquake. Also maps, dogs, tree studies, Australian dried flowers etc, condition varies., G.W.Wilson was a prolific commercial photographer based in Aberdeen, whose business produced landscape lantern slides, mostly sold throughout the later decades of the 19th century.
