A jade 'mythical beast' rhyton, 19th/20th century, the steep sided vessel supported on the back of a crouching animal with head turned to the side, and set on one side with a chilong forming the handle opposite an animal mask and pendant loose ring below the out curved spout, the sides decorated in low relief with archaistic motifs, carved from a pale cream stone with some russet suffusions, 14 cm high
