Aedes Walpolianae, Horace Walpole, 1747, Aedes Walpolianae: or, a Description of the collection of pictures at Houghton-Hall in Norfolk [...], 4to, first edition, London, privately printed, 1747. Full leather, the contemporary mottled calf boards rebacked, apparently complete with an engraved frontispiece portrait of Sir Robert Walpole, four engraved folding plates of floor-plans and elevations of Houghton, and an engraved frontispiece portrait of lady Walpole preceding the final part of the work, book-plate of the Reverend S. Harper to the front paste-down, early pen and ink annotations to the floor-plans and as occasional corrections to the text.
