A diamond crown brooch, of nautical design, set with old European cut diamonds totalling 1.0ct, in platinum. Provenance: The brooch was commissioned by Muriel Ballard in memory of her Son Charles Dargaville Ballard (1921 - 1941) who was killed in action abroard, HM Manchester on 23 July 1941.
