A vintage amethyst and diamond set dress ring, 14ct yellow gold, stamped 585, designed as a rectangular cushion shape panel, of gold, centrally set with a faceted cushion square cut amethyst of pale, purple colour, bezel set in a fine edge, detailed by concave gold work to top, and bottom with a central row of three mine cut diamonds grain set, completed, with gold rails to each shoulder, merging to a smooth band.
